I know it looks a bit spindly, but I am genuinely happy with the results of using polygonal hair blades over the more EXPENSIVE hair simulation Blender offers. I’m still figuring out the best way to shape the hair properly for fullness, over-all coverage and natural placement on the scalp. I might play with it more later, but for now, this is good enough for me.
If I do redo his hair/mane, I’ll see about using thicker hair blades, tubes, and small strands placed about the scalp. I’m currently thinking about how to use the hair-generator to solve the issue of placement.
